We are a one form entry voluntary aided Catholic school situated on the Woodchurch estate. We have 8 classes, a 2-year-old provision and a Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) base.
This grant went towards a project to develop a sensory room within the school.
Set up in May 2008. We are a peer led group and we have no salaried staff. We support women across all areas of Wirral. The women who attend our Group experience varying types of mental illness.
The grant enabled the group to continue running and covered costs of this for 6 months.
Wirral Unplugged supports families to unplug from screens (find screen balance), create, learn and explore together. We do this through events and through hands-on crafting and activity boxes that are developed in partnership with experts in culture, STEM, history, and imagination.
The grant funded 55 boxes to families with additional needs. Including non-SEND siblings in our distribution, so that the whole family felt included. The boxes offer hands-on educational and creative activities that are supportive of children with additional needs, as they learn through doing, at their own pace.
A family support charity that have been supporting families on Wirral since 1988. Our expertise in delivering peer support groups for parents and family members struggling with the stresses of life has continued to develop over the years. As well as providing ‘Family Groups’ we also provide other social activities and training opportunities.
In 2022 the foundation funded a pilot project called ‘Billy Found Mates Group.’ The group was a great success and we continued to fund it further.
